LEGAL TECHNOLOGY — PRODUCT, PLATFORM, COMPLIANCE
Kanoonwise
The brief
Kanoonwise is an advocate-discovery marketplace in which every public listing is a claim the platform has to stand behind.
Bar registration, enrolment record and an expert interview all had to clear before a profile appeared. Consultation booking, payments, disclosure requirements and a knowledge bank also had to read as one coherent product rather than a set of disconnected services.

DISCOVERY
Twenty-eight states and dozens of practice areas create a filter problem that quickly becomes a trust problem. Jurisdiction leads because it is the constraint a client cannot compromise on; practice area, language and availability narrow underneath it.

ADMISSION
The three-stage admission record is visible. A marketplace that verifies quietly is indistinguishable from one that does not verify, so the interface makes completed checks part of the product value.

THE PROFILE
Practice areas, enrolment details and availability occupy one column while consultation booking occupies the other. Bar Council disclosure requirements determine what appears above the fold, allowing compliance to shape the layout rather than being appended afterward.

THE KNOWLEDGE BANK
Articles across six practice areas use the same information architecture as the directory. A reader can move directly from a problem to advocates who handle it, and profiles can lead back to relevant guidance.
