The brief

Silcrow is a legal-research and product-compliance workspace designed around one hard requirement: every answer must show its working.

Build a surface that reads a feature document the way a regulator would. It needed to evaluate one document against eight frameworks, connect every finding to the precise clause it rests on, and return the result at feature level rather than company level. The identity also had to feel authoritative without borrowing the visual language of legacy legal software.

Silcrow — the report surface.

THE REPORT SURFACE

Eight frameworks create too much output for a flat list. Findings are therefore grouped by the product feature they affect. A team can resolve one feature, leave the rest of the review untouched, and retain the legal context around every decision.

Silcrow — provenance.

PROVENANCE

Every verdict resolves to a section-level citation. Reading the source material was only half the job; the product’s credibility comes from showing where each sentence of the answer came from.

Silcrow — the score.

THE SCORE

The compliance score is not an endpoint. It opens into the findings that produced it, ordered by the severity assigned by the relevant framework. The conversation moves from debating a number to examining evidence in one click.

Silcrow — reading at length.

READING AT LENGTH

Compliance documents run long and are read under pressure. The reading environment keeps a controlled measure while the citation rail remains visible, so the reader never loses the clause they are checking against.
